Response to "Hype"

In "Hype" by Kalle Lasn, she has explained that us people can't live a day without seeing any kind of advertisement of some sort. All around the world there are ads, commercials and such passing us by going through our minds back and forth. One reason for this infinite creation is that we can't live without them because the millions of companies spend thousands of dollars to make them to support their new product so they can soon start selling them. Another reason would be that even on the clothes and shoes we wear their ads on them as well. This will forever go on through our lives in the following explanation.
One reason why i agree with Kalle Lasn is that "the increase in commercial advertising has happened so steadily and relentlessly that we haven't quite woken up to the absurdity of it all", is because millions of people in the world including me are always busy with their jobs and education and family events and such.  This i can relate to because as much as id like to be around my friends and especially my girlfriend we are always busy doing schoolwork that we haven't really noticed how bad propaganda is blinding us thanks to the media and corporations.
Another reason why i agree with Kalle Lasn is that "anywhere your eyes can possibly come to rest is now a place, in corporate America's view, can and ought to be filled with a logo or product message." This is because everywhere that even on the clothes and shoes we wear, their ads on them as well. This will forever go on because we can't simply just turn this fact down. I can relate to this because whenever i am on the bus going to school i pass billboards and posters of new movies that were just released and they do look really interesting since i have seen the commercials for them.
In conclusion, "hype", by Kalle Lasn does prove to be an interesting article such that it explains how the world for many of years that passes us by shows us the millions of ads and commercial advertisements for the newest products by the richest corporations we know. Sadly we can't do anything about this because it will go on forever and they control us. We are the puppets that pay into this garbage they give us.

The allegory of the cave is about how Socrates and his student Glaucon were having a conversation about the shadows trapped in the cave. The shadows in the cave were people that are trapped in darkness and cannot see into the light of day. They are chained up like barbarians. They only live in darkness and they don't believe in anything else. Socrates and Glaucon watch over the people as he explains that there is no light of day for the people that live in the darkness. None of them are able to escape and reach out into the light, therefore the shadow people are hopeless with no way to escape. If anyone of them attempt to reach out into the light they are given a very painful punishment. They have no other choice. They must suffer.

Summary of hype

"Hype", written by Kalle Lasn explains how ads and commercials have been continuously polluting and brainwashing our minds. Advertisements have long been around in our world for years and many of us haven't noticed this until now. Ads have been used to show millions of companies newest products around the world. 1 great way ads have been spreading around lately are newspapers, websites and commercials on t.v. even while you wait to watch a movie.I have been addicted to the old various advertisements for the newest toys and games, and still are since i was a little kid. Especially for the newest movies, shows and food/drinks at McDonald's and Wendy's since i love to eat. Advertisements will keep on appearing in our entire world and it will never stop because we can't survive without it.

Blog 1 "Hype"

I agree with Kalle Lasns's "Hype" article, because the article is mostly about advertisements that are everywhere , nonstop. As said in lines 8-10, "Anywhere your eyes can possibly come to rest is now a place that in corporate America's view, can and ought to be filled with a logo or product message".

Everywhere we look, go and wear has an ad. As soon as we walk into the city there are ads for concerts, shows, events and the newest cellphone product. When I'm home watching T.V. in between shows i watch there is always a commercial about the newest comedy show that will be on later tonight.

While I'm waiting for a movie to start when I'm with my girlfriend, the movie screen displays ads and commercials about the newest movies that will be coming out soon. Even while were watching the movie there will be ads show where the characters hang around and go to.

As I have shown in Kalle Lasn's "Hype" article, advertisements have, and will be the "most prevalent and toxic of the mental pollutants". Advertisements will not stop until the end of mankind because it is impossible to live without it unfortunately.
